Common sense is often reason’s bitterest enemy. The moment you think “that’s obviously the way it should be”, you stop trying to ascertain the how, thus cutting out any possibilities of learning and improving the present status quo. Without the curiosity to understand why things are the way they are, there can never be progress.
Carefully weigh every thought that goes through your head, every thing you hear someone say, never stop being curious, and you will find yourself in a whole different state of learning and growth.

Nothing is to be gained if you don’t step out of your comfort zone and do something different every once in a while.
Does it make you uncomfortable? Do it anyway.
Are you afraid of the consequences if you’re wrong? Do it anyway.
Are you uncertain? Do it anyway.

The first step. Sometimes that’s all it takes; sometimes it doesn’t make an inkling of a difference. Either way, one thing’s certain—you’ll never know until you take it! If you do, and get nowhere, at the very least you know that you did not let the chance go by.

The thing is, people do not like to take chances; they’re afraid of change, and of failure. When that happens, I reckon the best thing to do is ask yourself “what’s the worst that can happen?” If the answer doesn’t look too grim, go ahead and take that chance. You may not be able to figure out what all strange new possibilities arise due to that one small step!

It’s surprising how inflexible people can be with their opinions! They may be the smartest people you know, they may be leagues ahead in many ways, but they can shock you with the nonsense they spout when their opinions are challenged.

Even if you’re infinitely confident you’re right, keep your thoughts open to contention. You may know a lot, but there will be at least a minimal chance that you may not have factored in everything.

Be smart about your opinions. Close mindedness did not help men discover fire. Open up!

What is it that you desire?
What do you want to be?
You struggle against the odds, fight the darkest despair to get things.
But what do you really want?
Do you have a goal?
Are you running through the journey of life without aim?

You can be truly happy only when you know your heart’s desire. Everything else just gets old and monotonous after a while.
It’s only when you know what you’re aiming for, that you can get a lasting sense of achievement.

Try and figure that out, will you?

Don’t run away!
You can run from your friends, and your family.
You can run from the whole world, if you so wish.
But try as you may, you can’t run away from your self!

Why do we never find time for things we like?
Why do we fight with people that matter most?
Why do we struggle on with a job we hate?
Why do we gossip and discuss people?
Why do we dwell so much on the past?
Why do we tussle against things that are good for us?
Why do we never realize what we are capable of?
