Days fly by.
Days become weeks.
Weeks become months.
Soon, years have gone by.
Yet the dreams you had,
Remain dreams unattained.

Every second drags on.
Minutes feel like hours.
But before you realize,
Years have gone by.
Yet the dreams you had,
Remain dreams unattained.

There’s a surreal feeling in the air today.
A feeling of time long gone, of an age yet to pass.

The day’s settling into its usual pace—
People preparing for their siesta,
Dog’s scuffling to find shade—
But something doesn’t feel the same.

Is it a change of seasons, or a shift in perception?
Another Saturday afternoon to while away
After the strains of a long week,
So what could this be that I feel today?

I grasp at straws, trying to put it together.
Everything around seems brighter,
The shroud of gloom seems to have lifted.
A long lost emotion rises within… hope?

I guess it’s time to move on, leave the past behind.
After all, we are not made to give up,
But to struggle and fight
To attain what our heart desires.

There’s a surreal feeling in the air today,
And I hope it is here to stay!

Don’t try to be the best
Just better
Than you were yesterday
Slow and steady improvement
Wins over sudden bursts and lulls

Be content
But never satisfied
Keep improving
And make every day count
Everyone has their own pace

Staring up at the sky
Brings to mind the limitless possibilities that surround us
Seeing the clouds darken the day
Teaches us that life’s not all fun and games
The silver lining on the clouds
Makes us believe there is a ray of hope in the darkest of times
Watching the birds fly
Reminds us that the freedom to do what we want, when we want
Is what Life is all about

That instant, when your eyes meet
And time stands still
Infinite thoughts whiz
Blurred, formless

You start to say something
Witty and pretentious
It’s almost out
When you hesitate

Then you go on your way
And wonder ‘fterwards
What you could’ve done
What might’ve been

What if it went right
And you met for coffee later?
What if it went wrong
At worst, what would’ve happened?

Would not it be easier knowing?
Glad to have tried,
Maybe only to fail miserably,
Than second guessing?

You realize
People don’t get lucky
It takes time and effort
To get things right

Have to take matters
Into your own hands
Vow to yourself
Never to miss another chance

Lost in thought
You look up
To see her standing across
And your eyes meet

Wake up every the morning
Weak, but still fighting
This misery that knows no end
Weaponless, left to fend.

In this journey of life
The sadness and strife
That’s ripped my heart apart
This ain’t science nor art!

Just going on through the days
Struggling through the waves
Endless suffering
Is there no end?

Somehow
In the midst of misery
I see hope!
Am I just dope?

Second coming
Another chance
But to no avail
It couldn’t last.

Oh, now I see
That we could never be
I can just look back
Reminisce.
