It’s funny how sometimes, even after putting all you’ve got into doing something, you do not get the results that can qualify your effort as a success. If this gets you down, you’ve indeed failed.

If you keep going, you will eventually realize that the “failure” was very much needed in order to succeed!

Success is simply about how far you go. Even a person who stops when he thinks he has succeeded, has achieved everything he hoped for, is a failure at some level. On the flip side, even the person who gives up after the first try has succeeded to an extent.

Staring up at the sky
Brings to mind the limitless possibilities that surround us
Seeing the clouds darken the day
Teaches us that life’s not all fun and games
The silver lining on the clouds
Makes us believe there is a ray of hope in the darkest of times
Watching the birds fly
Reminds us that the freedom to do what we want, when we want
Is what Life is all about

Comparing yourself with someone else, trying to be like another is the shortest and surest route to mediocrity.

Why try evaluating yourself against an inaccurate standard? If you seek to constantly get better, try evaluating your present against your past self. While this may not be the best solution (which is not comparing at all) it at least helps you find the right measuring stick.

Why do we learn live to the utmost only when we treat each day as our last?
Do the best of us live to the fullest only because we have a limited number on days on earth?
Does this mean that if man found a way to be immortal, he would degrade into a being with no desire to live, to succeed?

That instant, when your eyes meet
And time stands still
Infinite thoughts whiz
Blurred, formless

You start to say something
Witty and pretentious
It’s almost out
When you hesitate

Then you go on your way
And wonder ‘fterwards
What you could’ve done
What might’ve been

What if it went right
And you met for coffee later?
What if it went wrong
At worst, what would’ve happened?

Would not it be easier knowing?
Glad to have tried,
Maybe only to fail miserably,
Than second guessing?

You realize
People don’t get lucky
It takes time and effort
To get things right

Have to take matters
Into your own hands
Vow to yourself
Never to miss another chance

Lost in thought
You look up
To see her standing across
And your eyes meet

Wake up every the morning
Weak, but still fighting
This misery that knows no end
Weaponless, left to fend.

In this journey of life
The sadness and strife
That’s ripped my heart apart
This ain’t science nor art!

Just going on through the days
Struggling through the waves
Endless suffering
Is there no end?

Somehow
In the midst of misery
I see hope!
Am I just dope?

Second coming
Another chance
But to no avail
It couldn’t last.

Oh, now I see
That we could never be
I can just look back
Reminisce.
